This is a new cartridge rather than a new firearm. The Remington.360 Buckhammer is a rimmed straight-wall round based on a.30/30 that uses a.358-caliber bullet. It’s aimed at deer hunters in straight-wall states who like lever-actions, and Henry Repeating Arms, which collaborated with Remington on the Buckhammer, will release three variants this year.

We just reviewed the cartridge (click here), but as far as Henry is concerned, they will be producing. 360 Buckhammers’ Lever Steel, Lever X, and Henry Side Gate product lines. The Lever Steel has glossy blued metal work and walnut furniture, while the Lever X has a synthetic stock with a short part of Picatinny rail on the fore-end and a hardened polished brass receiver and enhanced wood.

The Remington.360 Buckhammer, also known as the.360 BHMR, is the company’s response to the recent straight-wall cartridge trend. As you are probably aware, numerous states that were previously shotgun-only for large game hunting relaxed their regulations, enabling hunters to use straight-wall cartridges in centerfire calibers.
