Bergara B14 Squared Crest
Bergara’s goal with the B14 Squared Crest is to create an accurate, light rifle that is durable enough for mountain use. The Crest is based on Bergara B14 Squared Crest action and has a new carbon-fiber stock that’s sturdy, light, and curved for pleasant ergonomics.
The stock offers a great vertical grip and high comb for comfortable precise shooting behind the action. The stock has QD sling cups on both sides, as well as swivel studs and a second front stud for attaching a bipod.
The Bergara B14 Squared Crest will be available with either 20-inch or 22-inch 4140 CrMo steel barrels (depending on caliber). The barrels are fluted, 5/8-24 threaded, and finished with Bergara’s Omni muzzle brake. Sniper Grey Cerakote is used on the actions and barrels, and the bolt has an over-sized bolt handle and sliding extractor.
The Crest is equipped with AICS-compatible magazines and an external magazine release lever located ahead of the trigger guard.
It has a two-position M700-style safety that permits unloading while the safety is engaged. The B14 Squared Crest will initially be chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC,.308 Win., and.300 Win. Mag., and while the beginning weight of 6.9 pounds isn’t ultralight, it’s still light enough to carry around.
