Colt CBX precision rifle
The Colt CBX precision rifle is another another new weapon introduced just in time for SHOT 2023. The CBX is a bolt-action chassis rifle that attempts to gain a presence in the competitive precision rifle industry. The redesigned Colt has an aluminum non-folding chassis that is adjustable for comb height and length of pull.
The chassis includes an angled pistol grip, a built-in thumb shelf, and QD sling cups; the handguard has an inbuilt ARCA rail and is compatible with aftermarket weights and other accessories. The weapon employs AICS-pattern magazines and includes a barricade stop immediately front of the magwell.
The action has a one-piece Picatinny rail and is compatible with Remington 700-pattern bases. The Colt CBX precision rifle has a button-rifled carbon-steel barrel with a black nitride finish.
The unique action has a bolt throw of 60 degrees. It employs the CZ 600 bolt with a short-claw controlled-feed extractor, and the barrel is locked to the action with a locking ring.
The rifle includes a user-adjustable trigger that can be adjusted between 2.5 and 5 pounds. The Colt CBX will be available in 6.5 Creedmoor and.308 calibers with 26- and 24-inch barrels, respectively.
