DWX 9 mm handgun
Dan Wesson Guns has introduced the DWX 9 mm handgun, which it describes as “a great blending of the distinctive weapon designs developed” by itself and partner CZ.
A single-action firing control group from a Dan Wesson 1911 is mounted on the steel-framed DWX-9 mm-handgun, which also has a CZ pistol’s capacity and ergonomics. Straight from the CZ 75, the grip angle and contour were taken. As a result, the full-size DWX is compatible with CZ 75 grips that are common.
The slide stop allows for a takedown similar to a CZ in the locked-breech barrel arrangement. The bushing-less barrel arrangement on the 4.95-inch, match-grade barrel is similar to that on the P-09 and P-10. Moreover, low-profile red metal grips assist in driving the shooter’s hand high in the beavertail.
Moreover, the double-stack 19+1 magazines from the P-09 and P-10 are used in the new Dan Wesson DWX.
The trigger is a flat, K-shaped one with three holes, and its face is textured. Competitive shooters will like the ambidextrous safety as well as the pistol’s extensive customizability and tunability options. The 1911 fire control group is the center of several parts currently available on the market that will all fit. There are also several factory and aftermarket alternatives available with a front sight in the 1911-style dovetail configuration and a rear sight in the CZ Shadow 2-style.
