Fierce MTN Reaper
Fierce Firearms, situated in Redmond, Utah, has a large following for their premium production and semi-custom hunting rifle packages. Last year, I was quite delighted with the CT Rival rifle that I tried and evaluated, and they have numerous new variants for 2023. The Fierce MTN Reaper is a simplified version of their Reaper chassis rifle that should be a great and accurate solution for light hunters.
The two-lug precisely machined action and Fierce C3 carbon-fiber barrel are housed in a light magnesium chassis with a carbon-fiber free-float M-LOK tube, folding adjustable stock and cheekpiece, and an Ergo pistol grip. The rifle is equipped with an NIX muzzle brake and a zero-MOA optics rail, and it is chambered in a variety of short- and long-action cartridges.
It sports an adjustable Bix’n Andy trigger and AccurateMag Detachable mags. It’s a sleek platform that should shoot well and pack compactly. Long-action variants weigh 6.6 pounds while short-action models weigh 5.8 pounds. There are chamberings for 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, 7mm Rem Mag,.308 Win.,.300 Win. Mag., and.300 PRC.
