The FN 509 is based on the tried-and-true architecture of the FNS Compact; to satisfy the demanding performance criteria of the MHS specifications, FN implemented internal and exterior adjustments. With the assistance of industry professionals, the platform was further developed to become the FN 509. The platform has undergone more than a million rounds of testing throughout development in order to ensure its dependability, compatibility with ammunition, and durability.
