Glock G47
We’re eager to see the new Glock 47, but the news about it emerged a little before SHOT Show. Although it shares parts with both the G17 and the G19, you’ll notice that it primarily works like the Glock G47. The Glock 19 longslide, which many shooters have long desired, may be obtained by swapping the longer slide onto a normal G19 lower since it is mated to a frame with a shorter dust cover. You now have a handgun with the G17‘s superior ballistics and the G19’s increased concealability. If this results in a typical factory G19L setup, only time will tell, but it’s a start in the right direction.
The Glock G47 MOS was created for US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in 2019 and is now commercially available. With a shorter dust cover and parts compatibility with the G17 Gen5 MOS, G19 Gen5 MOS, and G45 MOS, the Glock G47 MOS provides the same dependability and performance as the G17 Gen5 MOS.
