Gunwerks Werkman Rifle System
of a hundred. This is the first time. Several Gunwerks kits cost $10,000 or more, including an optic and ammo that has been validated at a distance. The Werkman is a package rifle supplied at half the price, making it comparable with numerous other firms who offer accuracy-oriented package guns.
The Gunwerks Werkman Rifle has fewer frills than other versions but should deliver outstanding performance. It’s based on Gunwerks’ stainless GLR receiver and features a 22-inch non-fluted stainless cut-rifled barrel. The Gunwerks Gen 1 Magnus carbon-fiber stock is ARCA-compatible.
The Werkman sports a TriggerTech trigger, a two-baffle directional muzzle brake, and a Revic RS25 5-2556 FFP scope. The scope has a bespoke BDC turret with yardage and MOA indicators that are calibrated to Hornady’s ELD Match ammo. The weapon comes with a data package for that ammo out to 1,000 yards. It’s solely chambered in 6.5 PRC and weighs 9.6 pounds when new.
Gunwerks is a household name in the realm of long-distance precision shooting and hunting. Their product portfolio includes five-figure-priced sets like the HamR, which they claim has two-mile hit capacity out of the box, and the lightweight ClymR designed for hiking on foot during mountain hunts. They’ve now launched a new rifle system model, designed to give shooters with top-tier Gunwerks precise performance at a lower price point than their previous products.
