450 Marlin Brass Description
450 Marlin Brass Packed per 50
Making these cases takes more time and care, and Hornady only produces small quantities of them. The only way to guarantee that every case satisfies their exacting criteria for quality is to do this. For reloaders, Hornady cases are excellent because of their very uniform wall thickness, weight, internal capacity, priming pocket, and flash hole. They take measurements to ensure that the walls are always the same distance apart, and they even pressure calibrate their cases to guarantee that they all expand to the same degree. Each case is then manually reviewed.
No matter how good it is, some reloaders believe that brass should always be purchased in bulk at the cheapest price. At Hornady, they consider brass to be the foundation for what may be the best shot you’ve ever made. Reload with a case that you can depend on at all times. Keep an eye out for the “Hornady” stamp. Risk-free, lifelong warranty.
450 Marlin Brass Preparation:
It’s possible that some of the case mouths in bulk rifle brass will be “out of round” or have a minor depression below the shoulder. These imperfections are brought about by the final tumbling wash process after the case mouth has been annealed. Brass manufacturers are aware of how the case looks and have tried to fix it, but dents may still happen because of how the equipment is made.
Small dents are often filled in at the initial fire and have no impact on the case’s functionality or lifespan. The anneal stain may not be completely polished off of brass that isn’t plated, which can cause the case’s neck to seem pink. Some lower caliber cases have mouths that have a slight bell shape, as you might have noticed.
