The Staccato C is STI’s only single-stack production model and least costly handgun, costing $1,499 when equipped with two 8-round magazines. Hard plastic base pads are already affixed to both of those mags. This minor addition is a great comfort. Anybody who has changed 1911 magazines under pressure without using a base pad probably has a scar on their support-side palm from being repeatedly gouged out during full-speed reloads.
